The Go Live Sequence for the digital hospital implementation at Logan and Beaudesert Hospitals has now been finalised. The sequence was determined after extensive consultation with the hospital's executive and management and is designed to enable specialised clinical and IT support to be provided to each area as it goes live.
Support for the new digital hospital system will continue 24/7 throughout the holiday period! Logan Hospital staff should continue to call #8800 for assistance with using the ieMR and associated devices.
The Go Live Command Centre at Logan has been scaled back however 24/7 support is still available. Please do not hesitate to request help!
Digital Hospital’s Director of Medical Services, Dr Rosalind Crawford, is confident that the benefits of the digital hospital system are significant and will be well worth the efforts required to implement the system.
Dr Crawford’s role is focused on ensuring that medical staff at Logan and Beaudesert are well supported during the Go Live and that clinical activities are optimised.
The rollout of WOWs has begun at Logan and Beaudesert Hospital’s.
Digital Hospital Project Manager, Julio Menendez said the Workstations on Wheels (WOW) will provide clinical staff the ability to document, place orders and review their patients’ medical records closer to the bedside.
Last Friday, Logan and Beaudesert Hospitals welcomed Director General Mr Michael Walsh to speak with clinicians, staff and executive. The purpose of the visit was for the Director General to receive a progress update on the digital hospital project, directly from staff and clinicians.
Senior Project Director for Digital Hospital Cameron Ballantine said the visit was a success.
