Nominate for Digital Change Champion Role
Opportunities are now available for Logan and Beaudesert Hospital staff to gain valuable expertise and experience in the digital hospital ieMR system being rolled out across Metro South HHS.
In supporting the call for nominations for the roles of Digital Change Champions, and Digital Clinical Trainers, Executive Director of LoganBayside Health Service and Digital Hospital Project Sponsor, Dr Jacinta Powell, said the digital hospital project needed local staff to get involved.
“We know that implementing the digital hospital system at Logan and Beaudesert is going to be challenging and there will be changes to some ofour clinical work practices,” Dr Powell said.
“The Change Champions and the Clinical Trainers will become Super Users of the ieMR and then play a key role in training and supporting Logan andBeaudesert staff in learning the new system.

“As we adapt to new ways of working in a digital hospital, we will then start to see the significant benefits which the digital hospital will bring to our patients, our hospital and our community,” Dr Powell said.
“We are confident that staff in both hospitals will recognize the benefits of becoming a digital hospital, and thus take on this challenge withcommitment and enthusiasm.
“Importantly, there will be a high level of clinician involvement in preparing our hospitals for the digital hospital systems, devices and new ways ofworking.
“We are proud that Logan and Beaudesert Hospitals will become the first hospitals in Queensland to transform to digital hospitals in a single stage.“In particular, Beaudesert Hospital will become Queensland’s first rural digital hospital.
