Beaudesert Hospital welcomes first 'digital' baby
The first baby to be born with an electronic medical record was welcomed at Beaudesert Hospital on 12 January 2018, just two days after the hospital went digital.
The birth of baby Charlee-Rose to proud mum Nicole Murrary-Williams was marked with the presentation of a special "first digital baby" onesie for the newborn.
Maternity Unit Manager, Nicole Tucker, said staff at Beaudesert Hospital were excited to welcome the first baby to the transformed world of secure electronic medical records instead of paper files.
"This is a big milestone for Beaudesert. The Digital Hospital system will improve the way we care for patients," Nicole said.
Beaudesert Hospital is the first rural hospital in Queensland to become a Digital Hospital.
